This month it's all about our grads.  We were thrilled to see Mike Leigh receive the BAFTA fellowship last night. Simon Mesa Soto's Palme d'Or winning LEIDI won the British Council Best Film Award at the London Short Film Festival, whilst Kyla Simone Bruce'sgraduation film THE INTERPRETER (pictured) won Best Student Film. Duccio Chiarini'sfeature SHORT SKIN, produced by Babak Jalali and shot by Baris Ozbicer premiered at Berlin, as did Petros Silvestros's short A CONFESSION, shot by Nikos Andritsakis.

Mexico@LFS is a series of free Q&As, workshops and screenings, in association with the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), as part of the Year of Mexico in UK 2015. A delegation of LFS graduates will take part in 3 days of activity, celebrating the school's long tradition of cultural and professional exchange. 5.30pm -  In Conversation with Carlos Armella, Juan Carlos Colin, Ignacio Durán, Katina Medina Mora & Alejandro Springall.  Followed by networking party.

2.30pm -  Focus on Business - Producing, co-producing and the international marketplace.

MA Filmmaking - May, Sep 2015
Train in all departments, in a working studio, with students from over 30 countries. 

An intensive two-year course in the heart of London, MA Filmmaking trains to a professional level in a full range of filmmaking skills. All our students leave with a portfolio of credits on at least 10 films - usually many more.
Five Creative Skillset bursaries covering 80% of course fees are available for May entry. To be considered for a bursary you must submit an application by 27th February.

MA Screenwriting - Sep 2015

On the MA Screenwriting you'll build up a significant portfolio of work, including a feature screenplay.

MA International Film Business - Sep 2015 

Our very first cohort of MA International Film Business students are currently immersed in the Berlinale. A partnership degree between LFS and University of Exeter, the MAIFB includes a field trip to the festival.

LFS Workshops presents LFS Summer School 2015

This summer, be one of 24 filmmakers from across the globe to be trained as directors at The London Film School.

Returning for its fourth consecutive year is our "flagship" summer course, the 3-week Directing Summer School with Udayan Prasad (2 - 22 Aug), followed immediately by a new 2-week First Film Summer School with Jonas Grimås (23 Aug - 5 Sep).

Aimed respectively at those with some prior filmmaking experience, and those who are just starting out, both courses offer each participant the opportunity to write, direct and edit their own short film with a professional cast and crew.
