London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

London Film School (LFS) is proud to announce a significant presence at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), with student and alumni work represented across film selection, industry talent programmes, and special anniversary screenings.

We’re enormously proud of the work and continued successes of our students and graduates! Here we have a selection of the festival acceptances, screenings, and awards they have enjoyed over the last month.
First, MA Screenwriting graduate and PhD student Gonzalo Maza’s (MAS 12) first feature film, Ella es Cristina, will be released on 13 June 2019. Maza is the writer-director on the film, produced by Salma Hayek’s Ventanarosa Productions.
Sol de Agosto screens at Edinburgh International Film Festival
MA Filmmaking graduate Franco Volpi's grad film has had a very exciting run, from a Student Oscar finalist and Student BAFTA shortlist to 26 festivals around the world, including Palm Springs, Max Ophüls, and Sao Paolo. This number continues to increase, as Sol de Agosto has been selected for the highly respected Edinburgh International Film Festival 2019!

The deadline for MA Filmmaking and MA Screenwriting September programmes are rapidly coming, and we want to make sure that every student can attend, no matter their financial situation. At LFS, you'll have access to an internationally renowned film industry network in the heart of London, taught craft excellence, and the ability to put sought-after credits to your name. Scholarships and bursaries are available to UK and EU/EEA students, highlighted below and Federal Funding is available to American students.

With varying events and discussions happening throughout the term, LFS Connects provides a well-rounded film education.
